19 An important piece of advice by Hazrat Syed Manzoor Hussain RT for his disciples

حضرت سید منظور حسین (رح) نے ایک دفعہ اپنے مریدوں کی تربیت فرماتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ دیکھنے دکھانے یعنی کشف و ادراک وغیرہ کے معاملات میں تین حصے ہوتے ہیں ایک حقیقی ایک خیالی اور ایک شیطانی و نفسانی اگر ننانوے فیصد (%99) بات صحیح ہو اور ایک فیصد (%1) غلط ہو جائے تو ساری بات غلط ہو جاتی ہے اس میں بہت احتیاط کرنی چاہیے اور ہر چیز کو شریعت یعنی قرآن اور سنت کے پیمانے میں دیکھنا چاہیے اگر کوئی چیز شریعت مطہرہ کے مطابق نھیں ہے تو اس کو بھول جاؤ یہی محفوظ طریقہ ھے حال احوال وغیرہ کے چکر میں زیادہ مت پڑو پیر بننا چھوڑو کیونکہ اصل فضل اتباع شریعت اور حقیقی منزل خاتمہ ایمان کامل پر ہے

English translation:

Once Hazrat Syed Manzoor Hussain (RT) while training his disciples said: Visionary and inspirational experiences can have three portions. One is Truth(reality), one is imagination and one interference of Satan or Self(shaitan or nafs). If 99% is correct and only 1% is incorrect then the whole thing becomes incorrect. Therefore great caution needs to be exercised. Everything should be gauged with the yardstick of Shariat (Quran & tradition of Prophet ﷺ). If it’s not in accordance with the Shariat Mubarak then forget it (let it go). This is the safe path. Do not get too involved in such matters (of visions and inspirations). Stop being a pir (spiritual leader), as real blessing is following of the Shariat of the Prophet(ﷺ) and the actual objective is to die in the state of perfect faith (iman).
