A Conversation BetweenHazrat Sheikh Syed Manzoor Hussain (RT) and King Faisal Al Saud of Saudi Arabia about Aulias (friends of) Allah Taala in the Ummah (followers) of Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ):
Once King Faisal Al Saud of Saudi Arabia asked Hazrat Sheikh Syed Manzoor Hussain (RT) about the status of the Aulias of Prophet Muhammed’s (ﷺ) ummah. Hazrat Sheikh (RT) said that proof & explanation can be given from any book but since you are a Muslim, therefore the best explanation is from Allah’s Book the Holy Koran. He said that for every Muslim to have complete faith in Koran Sharif is imperative, anyone who doubts about anything in Koran Sharif cannot be a Muslim. Shah Faisal confirmed it, and said that he wants explanation from Koran Sharif. Hazrat Sheikh (RT) then said that Allah Taala in the Koran (chapter Naml) has narrated the story of Hazrat Sulaiman (AS), who was a Prophet and a great King. He wanted to impress the Queen of Saba, so that she can become a true believer. With this intention, he gathered all his courtiers comprised of different creatures of Allah Ta’ala. He asked them that which one among you can bring the throne of Saba as soon as possible. This throne was thousands of miles away from his palace and was much bigger in size than the doors of the palace. According to the Koran, Afriat (the most powerful Jinn) a follower of Hazrat Sulaiman (AS), said that he can bring it before the dismissal of his court. Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) did not pay him much attention, then one person, an ummati (Asif Barkhia, who had the knowledge of the book of that time) of Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S) got up and offered to bring it within a blink of an eye. He brought Queen Saba’s throne to the court before the eye blinked, although it was thousands of miles away and was much bigger than all the palatial doors. Hazrat Sheikh (RT) said that this person was not a Prophet but was a Wali and an ummati of Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S). Hazrat Sheikh (RT) then asked King Faisal that no doubt Hazrat Sulaiman A.S is a great Prophet, but who is Sardar ul Anbiya (The Leader of Prophets), Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) or Prophet Suleiman (AS)? Shah Faisal replied that Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) is the Leader of all Prophets. Hazrat Sheikh (RT) then continued, that no doubt Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) is a great Prophet but he is not the Leader of all Prophets ‘Sardarulanbia’, he is not ‘Khatim ul Nabiyeen’ (the Last Prophet), he is not ‘Rehmatulil Alemeen’ (Mercy for all Worlds), nor is he ‘Mahboob e Rabul Alameen’ (Allah’s beloved). Hazrat Sheikh (RT) then asked him that whose Ummat is declared ‘Khairul Ummam’ (best of ummats), Prophet Muhammed’s (ﷺ) ummat or is this title given to Hazrat Sulaiman’s followers? Shah Faisal replied that it’s for the Ummat of Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ). Hazrat Sheikh (RT) then added that if a Wali of Hazrat Sulaiman’s (AS) ummat can have such domain over time and space then cannot a Wali of the Prophet Muhammad’s (ﷺ) ummat have this control over time and space? Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ), who is ‘Khatim ul Nabiyeen’, ‘Rahmatulil Alemeen’, ‘Mahboob e Rabul Alameen’, and is the ‘Sardar (leader) ul Anbiya’ & his ummat is ‘Khair ul Ummam’ and is superior to all ummats, would not his Ummat’s Wali (who is given the knowledge of the Book Koran Hakeem) be awarded all this & much more? The status of the Walis of the Prophet Muhammad’s (ﷺ) ummat, and what powers they are given is beyond anyone’s imagination. Hazrat Sheikh (RT) said to King Faisal that what Allah narrates in the Koran Hakeem are not simply stories but have specific purpose. Allah Ta’ala by revealing the glory of any Wali of a Prophet’s ummat, actually reveals the glory of that Prophet. It is to emphasize that if a wali of a Prophet’s ummat is of this high rank, then what would be the glory of that Prophet, because whatever a Wali has, is only recieved through his Prophet, and ultimately what would be the glory of their Allah Ta’ala, who is the Lord of all. After listening to all this, King Faisal started calling Hazrat Sahib (RT) Maulana, which is not customary for the Saudi Kings, although in the beginning he was addressing Hazrat Sahib (RT) as “Ya Sheikh”. He out of respect escorted Hazrat Sheikh (RT) to the car. As long as King Faisal lived, he always had great respect for Hazrat Sheikh (RT) and he often visited Hazrat Syed Manzoor Hussain (RT) to pay respects to him as well as to take his advice on important state and personal matters and to request him for his prayers.
