09 Hazrat Manzoor Hussain Rt explaining the meaning of Hadith e Mubaraka “Faith is between Fear and Hope.”

ایک دفعہ حضرت سید منظور حسین ؒ نے ایک حدیث رسول اللہ ﷺ سمجھاتے ھوئے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی حدیث ھے کہ”ایمان خوف اور امید کے درمیان ہے”ـ امید اللہ سے اللہ کے فضل اور رحم کی اور خوف اپنے گناہوں شیطان اور نفس کے دھوکہ کا ـ مزید فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالی فرماتا ھے کہ وہ اپنے بندوں کو امتحان کے بغیر نھیں چھوڑے گا ۔ اس لیے جتنی بڑی عنایت اتنا بڑا امتحان کسی نے سوال کیا کہ اگر مرشد کامل ہو تو پھر نفس و شیطان اور امتحان وغیرہ سے کیا ڈرنا حضرت شیخ ؒ نے فرمایا کوئی کتنا بڑا پیر کیوں نہ ہو جائے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے بڑا پیر نہیں ہو سکتا اور کوئی کتنا بڑا مرید کیوں نہ ہو اصحابہ کرام سے بڑا مرید نہیں ہوسکتا جب ان کو امتحان میں ڈالا گیا ھے تو اور کسی کی کیا حقیقت ھے لیکن اگر شیخ کامل ھوں تو ان کی دعا سے امتحان آسان بھی ھو جاتے ھیں اور اللہ تعالی کامیابی بھی عطا فرما دیتا ھے

English Translation: Once Hazrat Syed Manzoor Hussain Sindhi Madani (RT) cited a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ that “Faith (Iman) is between Fear and Hope.” Hazrat e Sheikh (RT) explained that Hope is for Allah’s bounty and His Mercy and Fear is of one’s own sins, deception of Satan and one’s own nafs (Self). He added that Allah says that He will test His servants with trials. Therefore, the greater His blessings, the greater is the trial. Someone commented that if the Spiritual Guide is perfect (kamil), then there should be no fear of Satan, nafs or trials. Hazrat e Sheikh (RT) replied that no matter how perfect the Spiritual Guide may be, he cannot be a greater Guide than the Prophet ﷺ and no disciple (mureed) can be a better disciple than the companions (Ashabs) of the Prophet ﷺ. If they were put in a trial how can others be spared. But if the Spiritual guide is a true teacher then as a result of his supplication(dua), trials become easier for the disciple and also Allah makes him successful in his test.
