65 Hazrat Sheikh Syed MAnzoor Hussain (RT) on the importance of constantly making Dua (supplication) to Allah Subhana Hu’ Taa’ala

Hazrat Sheikh Syed Manzoor Hussain (R.T.)’s saying about Dua (Supplication) followed by English Translation:

حضرت شیخ سید منظور حسین رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ نے ایک دفعہ دعاؤں کے سلسلے میں فرمایا کہ دعائیں اللہ تعالی سے ہر وقت مانگتے رہنا چاہیے چاھے وہ قبول ہوں یا نہ ہوں، اگر تمہیں لگتا ھے کہ تمہاری دعائیں قبول نہیں ہو رہیں تب بھی اللہ تعالٰی سے دعا مانگتے رہنا چاہیے کیونکہ ہو سکتا ہے تم جو مانگ رہے ہو اس میں تمہاری بھلائی نہ ہو یا اس دعا کی کے قبولیت میں کوئی مصلحت نہ ھو، کیوں کہ ہمیں کیا معلوم کہ ہماری بہتری اور بھلائی کس میں ھے، مگر اللہ تعالی کبھی بھی سائل کو مایوس نہیں کرتا، اگر سائل جو کچھ بھی مانگ رہا ھے اس کو دینے میں کوئ مصلحت نہیں ھے یا اس میں سائل کی بھلائی نہیں بھی ھے تو بھی اللہ تعالی اس چیز کے بجائے سائل کو کچھ اور عطا کر دیتا ھے، جیسے کہ ایک بچہ اگر زھر کی کسی خوبصورت رنگین بوتل کو دیکھ کر ماں سے اس کو لینے کی ضد کرتا ھے تو ماں بچہ کو وہ زہر کی شیشی تو نہیں دے گی مگر اس کے بدلہ میں اس کی ضد پر بچہ کو بہلانے کے لیے کچھ اور دے دے گی ۔ اصل میں اللہ تعالٰی کی رضا کو سمجھنا ھی اصل چیز ھے۔ مگر کبھی ایسا بھی ھوتا ھے کہ جو چیز کوئی مانگتا ھے اگر اس میں بہتری نھیں بھی ھو تو بھی وہ عطا کر دی جاتی ھے اور اس میں بہتری بھی کر دی جاتی ھے

English translation:

An Important Advice of Hazrat Sheikh Syed Manzoor Hussain (R.T.) about Supplication (Duas):
Once Hazrat e Sheikh (R.A) regarding supplication said that one should always keep supplicating before Allah Ta’ala whether they are accepted or not. If you feel that the supplication is not accepted by Allah Ta’ala even then continue to supplicate because maybe what you are asking for is not good or advisable for you as we do not know what is good or beneficial for us. However, Allah Ta’ala never dissappoints the supplicator. Allah would not grant what is not beneficial to the supplicator but instead would grant him something that is good for him. Its just like a mother who would never give her child if he pleads for a beautiful, colourful bottle of poison, despite her child’s desperate pleas for it. But would instead give her child something else to make him/ her happy. Actually the important and real thing is to understand the Will (Raza) of Allaha Ta’ala. But sometimes it so happens that if what is requested even though its not good is still granted by Allah Ta’ala to the supplicator and is also made beneficial for him.
